Team Description
Swansea University Race Engineering first competed in the British Formula Student event in 2001 and has since competed in each successive event with either a new or second year car. Currently it comprises of around 45 members from different engineering and management disciplines. The team has students from all three levels of study where the final year and masters students build or modify a car, and the second and first year students come up with a design concept to be built the following year. Swansea University achieved a Class 3 win at FS2003 and 2 years later, the car that was born of that design achieved victory in Class 1 (200). Another victory has been achieved in 2008 as a Runner up in Class 1.
