The Group closed the year 2024 reporting sales of EUR 20.2 billion according to its preliminary annual financial statements. This corresponds to a year-over-year decrease of 0.9 percent and 0.4 percent when adjusted for currency effects. As a result of the lower sales volume and higher costs, the Group's preliminary operating result stands at EUR 900 million, which is below the previous year. Nevertheless, we expect the Group's 2024 consolidated financial statements to show an increase in equity to EUR 9.2 billion (31 December 2023: EUR 8.8 billion).
