Team Description
The Scuderia Mensa HS RheinMain e.V. is the Formula Student Racing Team of the University of Applied Sciences Wiesbaden and Ruesselsheim (Hochschule RheinMain). Although the majority of the team is studying engineering, students form a wide range of faculties are part of the team which has a near constant manpower of approximately forty students.
Since 2006 the team participates at the FS-Events in Europe. The first Car - SPR08 – was a combustion car which competed in Hockenheim in 2008. This car was succeded by a new and improved car each year. From 2008 through 2010 Scuderia Mensa built combustion vehicles. For the following five years (2011-2015) the team dedicated itself to electric powered cars. Which were once more replaced with combustion engines. In 2019 it was decided that the SPR20 would be the last combustion vehicle of the Scuderia Mensa and from that moment on work on the SPR21E began.
