Team Description

We are Democritus Racing Team-DRT, the Formula Student team from the Democritus University of Thrace.
The journey of our team began in the combustion vehicle (CV) era, where DRT made a remarkable debut with its first car, Argo. Despite being a new team, Argo impressed with its design and performance, securing notable placements in its category.
After that, in 2021, DRT took a bold step forward by shifting focus towards the electric vehicle (EV) era, embracing the growing trend of sustainable motorsport. This strategic transition marked a new chapter for the team, as we began designing and building electric race cars.
Since then, DRT has successfully developed and raced three fully electric vehicles, proving their capability in the evolving world of electric motorsport.
In 2023, the team's dedication and hard work were recognized with a 1st place award in the Business Plan Presentation, a testament to DRT’s strong engineering, management, and strategic planning skills. Additionally, last season, we managed to complete all dynamic events, highlighting the performance and endurance of our vehicle in competition.

For the 2024-2025 season, the team is already working on its fourth electric car, continuing to innovate and push the boundaries of performance in this exciting new field.
