TÜV SÜD supports elite education at universities

Munich. TÜV SÜD is one of the sponsors of the Formula Student Germany 2006 design competition, open to student teams from all universities worldwide. At the same time, TÜV SÜD announces the "TÜV SÜD Award" in the category "Best Quality Engineered Car" which includes prize money of € 1,000. The prize will be awarded to the vehicle boasting the highest manufacturing quality.

"We at TÜV SÜD are highly involved in the Formula Student initiative to introduce students to our globally active organization and its array of interesting fields of activity and demonstrate that TÜV SÜD is an attractive employer," explains Stefanie Armbruster from TÜV SÜD AG HR Marketing. "As technical service provider, we are frequently associated only with authorized inspectors, whereas actually we have approximately 400 engineers worldwide working in automotive design and development".

Apart from its commitment as sponsor, TÜV SÜD Automotive, a TÜV SÜD company, also delegates five experienced engineers as members of design evaluation juries in various technical fields. The five specialists from TÜV SÜD Automotive will also decide on the winner of the TÜV SÜD Award, which is announced as a separate prize.
