Scrutineering Quiz FSG 2011
The order of the scrutineering queue for FSG 2011 will be determined by means of a scrutineering quiz. The scrutineering quiz will take place on Monday, May 9th, 12:00 CEST, and will be available under the following url: http://scrutineering.formulastudent.de. The scrutineering quiz is similar to the registration quiz and is a combined quiz for FSC and FSE, which means that no questions will be asked which specifically consider only one of the competitions. Apart from the scrutineering order, the quiz results will also determine the running order for pit entrance.
The scrutineering quiz was introduced last year to help avoid excessively long waiting times to enter the pit lane and scrutineering. It proved very successful in doing so and will be therefore used again this year. The quickest team to answer all questions correctly will be the first in line to enter the Hockenheimring paddock and the first in line for scrutineering.
More teams than ever before are registered for this year’s event. Therefore, teams will already be allowed to enter the pits on Tuesday evening. The results of the quiz and thus the running order for pit entrance and scrutineering will be published on Tuesday, August 2nd, 15:00 CEST at the Ticket Office. From 19:00 CEST onwards teams will be allowed on site, with Event Control opening at 20:00 CEST. Scrutineering will start on Wednesday, August 3rd 9:00 CEST.
The parking situation will be the same as last year. Trucks will have to be parked along side the cross traverse (“Querspange”) of the Hockenheimring circuit. When entering the pits on Tuesday, there will be half an hour for each team to unload their truck in front of the pits and then park it next to the cross traverse. There the trucks will be accessible at all times. During and after the event, the teams will have to transport all their equipment between the pits and trucks by foot, since the trucks will not be allowed to enter the pits anymore after unloading on Tuesday.
