Each time our engineers tackle the task of pushing technology’s limits in terms of power, precision, resilience, cost efficiency and emissions, passion and craftsmanship go hand in hand.

And that’s exactly where you come into play: Just like our 9,000-strong workforce each day transforms fascinating ideas into powerful technology, you are asked to come up with the most innovative powertrain solution. Whether it’s your engine, your transmission, your drive shaft or your whole powertrain system that stands out above the rest: your team might be selected based on your uploaded application as one of the finalists for the “Most Innovative Powertrain” Award. The winning team will gain immortal Formula Student fame – as well as win 2.500 EUR in prize money.

Bear in mind: It’s not necessarily about the most costly materials or the most elaborate solution, but about ingenuity, outside-the-box thinking and a real passion for engineering. Because at Tognum’s R&D division, you can certainly develop a great deal of things – except for a lack of energy, drive or power.
