The first milestone in this year´s FSG competition has been taken: the registration quiz. On January, the 13th, an amazing number of 202 teams from all continents and 38 different countries took part to get a starting place in Hockenheim.

After an already very international competition in 2013, we now proudly announce that the variety of countries represented by different university teams has increased again. Within the Formula Student combustion class, 75 teams from four different continents and 20 different countries will travel to FSG 2014. Meanwhile, the electric scene will be entirely dominated by European universities coming from nine countries. With 55 combustion teams and 32 electric cars on the waiting list, FSG has taken another record within its nine year´s history.

To give you a better overview on the continents and countries where the successful participants of this year´s quiz come from, the following diagrams shall help you.

We are especially pleased that once again so many teams from oversea tried to get a place on the FSG starting grid. So, 28 Asian, 15 American, two Oceanian and two African FSC teams competed in January. Due to their astonishing knowledge of the rules, India will be the nation after Germany that will be represented the most, with twelve teams, who successfully registered.

With regard to the electric class, two Chinese, two Indian and one American equipe fought against the quiz time, but could just take their step to the waiting list so far.

However, the final die is not cast yet, and the next months will show, who finally makes it to Hockenheim.

We congratulate the teams who successfully registered for Formula Student Germany 2014 and wish all teams the best of luck within their construction and testing times in this season. Let´s have another awesome event!
