FISITA Student Travel Bursary Programme
In order to give engineering students a head start in the global automotive industry FISITA offers bursaries of up to €2000. The Student Travel Bursary Programme is meant to help students with the costs of taking part in organised work placements in auto- motive companies and research institutions overseas.
In today's global automotive industry experience of working abroad is extremely valuable for prospective engineers. When it comes to applying the scientific knowledge learned in the lecture theatre, there is no substitute for experience: real vehicles, real people and real problems to solve.
Applications to the FISITA Student Travel Bursary Programme are considered twice a year. The next deadline for application is 31st March 2011.
To be eligible to apply for awards of up to €2000 you must:
- be studying engineering at undergraduate or postgraduate level at a recognised college or university
- have arranged an industry or research placement in an automotive company or organisation overseas
- be a member of your national FISITA member society
