Craig Dawson – Obituary

Our dear friend Craig Dawson passed away on December 30^th. After two years of fighting against cancer he succumbed. He was only 29 years of age. Our thoughts go out to all people dear to Craig.

Craig was a familiar face within the Formula Student community. Most of us probably know him best for his unsurpassed commentary of the dynamic events at Formula Student Germany ever since 2008. Before that, Craig was a member of the Oxford Brookes Formula Student team and later became Faculty Advisor for the same team.

Craig worked for BAR Honda F1 and was doing his PhD at Oxford Brookes. He also raced at club level and won a 750 Motor Club championship a year ago.

If anything, Craig was deeply committed to motor sports and to Formula Student in particular. He will be greatly missed.
