Bosch Engineering GmbH awards “Energy Management”

As a part of our service area we are developing energy management functions for vehicles with electric power train, involving electrical, thermal and other subsystems. One of our main focuses is to merge driving reward and efficiency for e-powered mobility.
We are convinced that young talents with fresh ideas and extraordinary dedication are vitally important for the future of mobility. Therefore we are glad about your ideas of energy management and looking forward to meet you at the Formula Student Electric.
How to apply:
Teams competing for the Bosch Engineering Energy Management Award will be judged on following criteria:
- Effective realisation of energy regeneration
- Design of battery management concept
- Choice of low loss power distribution (e.g. contacts, harness, fuses, …)
- Optimal usage of electric energy (e.g. demand-orientated cooling)
The Bosch Engineering Energy Management Award is open to all teams participating in Formula Student Electric. Your team can apply for the award by submitting an abstract (max. 2 pages including all figures), which elaborates on the main features of your energy management concept. The abstract should be in PDF.
Qualifying based on your pre-submitted application will take place on August 4th 2011. In the evening a list of max eight teams is presented at the Bosch Engineering Forum. These teams are asked to arrange an appointment for an interview at the Bosch Engineering Forum on August 5th 2011. Each team will be allocated a 30-minute time slot for a technical interview.
